Building with Heart
Harold Boesch Leads the Way

When you meet Harold Boesch, you quickly sense two things: his calm confidence and his deep pride in the hospital he helps build every day. As Director of Facilities at Adventist Health Tillamook, Harold has become the steady hand guiding one of the most exciting projects in our community’s recent history: the new Surgical Services Center. “It’s not just about new walls or equipment,” Harold says with a quiet smile. “It’s about building the future of healthcare for Tillamook County — something lasting, reliable, and made for the people who live here.”
Harold’s background in team leadership spans decades, and it shows in the precision with which he leads his team. Whether he’s reviewing blueprints, walking the construction site, or coordinating with architects and surgeons, Harold brings both technical excellence and heartfelt purpose. Colleagues describe him as “the calm in the storm,” someone who sees challenges not as obstacles but as opportunities to make the hospital stronger. His eye for detail — everything from patient flow and infection control to selecting lighting and acoustics mechanical equipment — ensures that the new surgical center isn’t just functional but healing by design.
Yet for Harold, this project is deeply personal. He often talks about the people who depend on this hospital — neighbors, friends, even family members who’ve walked these halls. “Every decision we make, every brick we lay, is for them,” he says. “That’s what keeps us focused when the days get long.” His leadership reminds us that great hospitals aren’t built by contractors alone — they’re built by people who care deeply about their community. And under Harold’s watch, the new Surgical Services Center will stand as a testament to that care for decades to come
