Marian Johnson, RN, serves as the Family Birth Place (Obstetrics) department manager here at Adventist Health Tillamook. With a rich background in maternal care, Marian has been instrumental in enhancing the hospital’s obstetric services. Her leadership has been pivotal in integrating advanced technologies, such as the specialized Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) telemedicine robot, which she describes as a “game-changer” for both the care team and the community.
Beyond technological advancements, Johnson is deeply committed to community engagement and education. She actively promotes birthing classes at Adventist Health Tillamook, encouraging expectant parents to participate and prepare for their childbirth journey. Her approachable nature and dedication to patient education have made her a trusted figure among patients and colleagues alike. Johnson’s holistic approach ensures that families feel supported and informed every step of the way.
Looking ahead, Johnson envisions the OB/GYN department as a hub of excellence in maternal and neonatal care. She aims to further integrate telehealth services, expand community outreach programs, and foster a collaborative environment where patients receive comprehensive, compassionate care. A longtime resident of the Oregon coast, Marian completed her nursing training at Adventist Health Tillamook and has dedicated her entire career to serving the community here. Outside of work, she enjoys the great outdoors and shares her home with three lively Labrador retrievers. She is also a proud wife and mother, with two children currently pursuing their college degrees.
